Amber spent her childhood in North Yorkshire, UK, with summer holidays spent sailing and walking in the Lake District. She could usually be found with her nose in a YA fantasy novel (favourites included His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman and The Abhorsen Series by Garth Nix).

Now, she writes epic romantasy filled with adventure, yearning, and characters showing the world that they can overcome their fears. Her debut novel, VALOUR, was shortlisted for the 2025 Write Mentor novel award, with her linked novel, WHITE OAK, longlisting for the same prize.

When she’s not writing, Amber can be found sailing, hiking somewhere windswept, or curled up on the sofa with a fantasy book.

She lives in Suffolk, UK with her husband, two small boys and two crazy cockapoos. She has had many rewarding careers, including PhD scientist, biology teacher, book subscription box entrepreneur and is currently a hiking guide and social media marketer.
